Happy Old School Sunday! Astrud Gilberto was best known as “The Queen of Bossa-Nova” and “The Girl From Ipana”. The Brazilian musician has interwined her Brazilian roots with American pop and jazz influence. Her first solo project was the Astrud Gilberto Album in 1964, which became a instant best-seller and was nominated for album of the year. She was recommended to me by my good friend Ana and now I cannot stop! Enjoy and Happy Sunday!
